Someone had deleted an entire folder directory just prior to the backup being run yesterday. We had a prior backup but it was several days outdated. I used this little app to recover the deleted files from the directory and it worked great. Even better, it’s FREE! Check it out. Highly recommend it.
One note about this and other applications like it, in order for it to recover the files, you must not have added files additional to the volume that hosted the deleted files. When files are deleted, they really aren’t wiped out entirely, they simply no longer reserve space on the volume. As long new data isn’t added to the volume, this app will recover the deleted files, however, if you have added additional files since the deletion, there may be a problem.
